This soap is inspired by Carl Sagan's idea that we, and everything else in the universe, are descendant of the stuff of stars. After the big bang, when stars were first beginning to form, they consumed hydrogen through nuclear fusion, creating other, heavier atoms and flinging them out into the universe as the stars died. This allowed for the creation of nitrogen, potassium, and carbon which would become the building blocks of life.
The bottom of this soap is made of up expanding rings of black and white soap meant to represent the expansion period of the big bang. The top is dark navy blue with a sparkling of silver mica meant to represent the nebulae which are often a sort of nursery for the creation of stars. The spheres on top represent two of the rarer star types in the universe- yellow stars, such as our own sun, and neutron stars, which are created from the collapse of large stars and are incredibly dense for their small size.
This soap is scented with a blend of yuzu (Japanese grapefruit) and sweet juicy oranges, as I feel the universe is a bright and lively place. :)
As a lather-lover, I formulate all of my soaps to have ample amounts of fluffy, cleansing lather which leaves your skin feeling clean and soft. If used with a bath pouf you'll have more lather than you'll know what to do with. ;) All of my soaps are cold-process, which means they're made from scratch.
